"Pupils enjoy the wide range of experiences offered by the school, for example, a visiting play about bullying, clubs such as girls’ football, music lessons and competitive sports. Pupils learn about fundamental British values, such as democracy. They appreciate the opportunity to be elected to the school council. Pupils are listened to. Their feedback contributes to the decisions the school makes." Ofsted 2025
Courageous Advocacy: the act of empowering children to stand up for fairness, equality, and positive change.
Children and Young People are integral to building a fairer and more sustainable world for everyone. Courageous Advocacy equips them with the skills, tools, confidence, and opportunity to speak up and take action on issues of justice. Courageous Advocacy is an integral part of the Church of England Education Office's vision for education.
Good moral character is not something that we can achieve on our own. We need a culture that supports the conditions under which self-love and friendship flourish.

Dressing up as our heroes for Comic Relief
At our school, children dressed up as their heroes for Comic Relief, which created a memorable celebration of personal development. The event boosted confidence, encouraged self-expression, and promoted values of courage, kindness, and charity, impacting our vibrant, inclusive community.
Leadership in Action
The children's leadership was in action when older children read with younger peers, and Year 6 students supported their buddies on a science trip. These initiatives fostered mentorship, teamwork, and a caring community, leaving a lasting impact on both academic growth and personal development.
Endangered Animal Sponsorship
Children chose to sponsor an endangered snow leopard during their writing unit about cats, deepening their personal development. They researched and wrote about the majestic creature, which fostered empathy, responsibility, and a global perspective. This initiative allowed them to connect their learning with real-world conservation efforts.
