We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge ‘thank you’ for your support in acquiring new books for our school library. FHS have done it again! Our amazing community have donated 65 engaging and inspiring titles, and we cannot wait to reveal them to the children this term.
The school library forms an integral part of our school, and we are very lucky to have this dedicated library space. As well as the kind donations from our local community, we have recently received several new books from the charitable foundation, The Don Hanson Charitable Foundation, and a £300.00 grant from the St. James’ Charitable Foundation.
Books are also available in each classroom and these are refreshed from the main library stock every term, and will include books that complement the class’s current learning, alongside books that children from the class might be keen to read.

With this in mind, we want to take this opportunity to ‘tidy’ up the library and give it a fresh look. We have consulted some of our parents and carers, who have kindly offered their services to redesign and reconfigure the space. We plan to undertake the work during the Easter break.
