Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) at Horsley
Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) prepares Key Stage 2 pupils to participate in a rapidly changing world. Pupils learn to use languages to communicate information responsibly and creatively; how to access ideas and experiences from a wide range of people, communities, and cultures. Also, understanding another language increases a child’s understanding of their language, including increased fluency and knowledge of grammar, syntax, sentence structure, and verbal precision. Increased capability in the use of new words can also promote initiative and independent learning and encourages diversity within society.
